The ride to the Delight's ball was a suffocating affair. Mom and the creature (which I'd dubbed my new, gag, stepdad) were too busy fawning and touching eachother to notice my presence whilst I stared out the window. Teddy sat beside me playing a game of tetris on his blackberry and occasionally he'd glance up and make a disturbed face at the disgusting couple opposite us in the limo as I slunk back and sipped on my glass of cristal. My cell buzzed, and I slid it open to find a next text from Justin.

"Oi loser, u heard from nick?! I cant seem to find him, he's not answering his phone, btw when u getting here?"

I rolled my eyes, Nick can really go shove his good for nothing ass somewhere else. He was becoming way too much trouble.

"Hi to you too babe! no i haven't, i'm not his keeper you know and we're in the limo atm, you there already?"

"Not yet, nearly. Mom's going apeshit coz Nick dogged, gotta call others to see if they can find him, see ya later beautiful"

I smiled at his cheesiness and slid my phone shut as I closed my eyes and leaned back once more into the soft leather seats.

Flickering my eyes open, I picked up my cell, ignoring Teddy's bemused look as he mouthed "Justin Beiber?! Really?" Kicking the annoying asshole in the shins, I answered as loud as possible, purposely interrupting what looked like my mom and the creature about to fly into third base. urghhh

"Hello?"
"S? Do you know where Lyna is? I haven't seen her and mom's shitting herself coz we have to open the ball as a family."
What's with all these missing people lately? And what's with people thinking I know where everyone is?! Geez... but then again... Nick and Adelyna are both missing.. what are the chances..
"Aaron you idiot, I don't even know your sister, don't think we've actually had a proper conversation before... what makes you think I know where she is?!"
" But Siiiiiiiierraaa, you are you! you know everything!" and the moron whines.

"But it's true! Nick told me he was gonna miss the ball tonight.. something about going to visit the hospital, to visit Celeste I think? Hey, are they back together or something?"

I pulled back my cell and stared at it.. could it be true Aaron has no idea what's going on under his very nose?! But now I know where Nick is... the hospital.. with Celeste? Teddy gave me a weird look but went back to his tetris playing.

"Are you telling me you have no idea your sister and Nick had been prancing around town being the newest "it" couple this past week?! Where have you been you loser?!"
"WHAT?!?!?!?! how can that be true, Lyna never mentioned a thing.. but now i think about she has been acting strange lately... BUT HOW CAN SHE BE WITH NICK?! I always thought he was with Celeste?! and during his dinner! He was fucking sweet talking to the Evan's heiress the whole night..."
I felt the urge to smack him telepathically over the head and rolled my eyes.
"You saw too? Nick is such a douchebag. Some brother you are! You need to use your womanly intuition more, Mr Lee." I sniggered as I heard him curse me out.
"By the way, when are you getting here? Hurry up, I need you to come with me to kick his ass.. Wait I think I just saw Justin coming in, I'll go drill him for details."

I pulled my phone away angrily.. what's with people assuming I'm with Justin lately?! We're bestfriends! BESTFRIENDS!! People should get that fact into their thick skulls.

I felt an awkward pat on my shoulder and glared up at Teddy. He had a worried expression on his face.
"What happened? Adelyna is missing?"
I examined his face suspiciously... he has been slightly out of character lately, always asking after the Lee heiress. What is with her in my life recently?! I don't even know her! I grumbled, "I think they're all at Cedars (the super exclusive hospital for celebrities and rich people LOL), Aaron's gonna drag me with him as soon as we get to the ball, wanna join our lovely party?"
"Nah count me out, I just saw Yvonne Solange going in, we're gonna go catch up, ya know what i mean?"
He winked at me and I flipped him off.

mom and the creature were still blissfully unaware of my plans to ditch the ball, and both Teddy and I smiled brightly as we posed for "lovely family photos" as we reached the destination for the paparrazzo. Lovely, cheesy, and so disgustingly fake as I felt the creature's arm drape lazily over my lower lower back. I gave him a dirty as he winked at me, with my mom clutching his arm as i shook him off. I fought the urge to visibly shudder.

Walking into the ballroom, I felt an arm instantly wrap around my waist as Justin pulled me off to the side towards a little hallway where it leads towards the exit. Teddy and Justin nodded at eachother and did that manly fist bump greeting as we went separate ways. As we reached the private driveway, Aaron already had his Bentley running ready to go. As a surprise, Tyce was sitting there looking rather pissed off as well in the back seat. I rose an eyebrow at the scene. Tyce and Aaron in the same car... should be interesting. Both guys gave me a meaningful look towards the arm still around my waist and I gave them both a finger at the same time while shrugging Justin's arm off me. Slipping into shotgun seat, I glared at Aaron as he smirked at me. "You look beautiful tonight, S."

Wasting no time,

"Guys, let's go."

The car ride was tense. There were too many sides of the story sitting within the car, and I was the only bystander, really. Sighing, I looked over at Aaron as he concentrated on getting to the hospital the fastest way he could. He looked so tense and worried for his sister that I felt like he needed reassurance himself it was going to be okay. Without thinking, I lifted my hand to his shoulders as he drove and massaged the strained muscles there, feeling the knot relax underneath my hands. He shot me a look of appreciation and gave a little smile my way and that was all I needed.

"Room 216, and if there's anything else you guys need..."
I shot a dirty at the Cedar's receptionist, young, blonde and overtly eager, it was probably an extreme treat for her to see so many of the A-list boys here tonight all at once. She's probably used to seeing degenerate old billionaires suffering from Alzheimer's or something. She stared at me innocently whilst thrusting out her boobs as Tyce walked by. But he didn't notice a thing. None of them did actually, as they all thanked her blankly and went towards the direction of room 216.

I got dragged along, I really didn't want to be here as the siblings all converged together. But both Justin and Aaron had an iron grip on each of my arms as Tyce pushed me towards the room. I wanted to wait abit.. but the three guys had other intentions as all at once they barged into the room.

The 17 year old heiress of international company, Delights. Founded in 1888 by Elizabeth Ilene Wenshawe, the first store opened on Lexington Avenue New York. The confectionary store was an instant hit with the locals. It soon expanded across America and when technological advances permitted, the store took root in Europe, Australia, South America, and Asia. Delights has over 5000 specialty boutiques worldwide and many high-profile, licensed distributors.

Adelyna Lee was born in Sydney Australia, December 1st 1992 while her parents were on a business trip down under. Sydney still remains one of her favourite places in the world. Her mother, Isabelle Lee (neé Wenshawe) inherited the entire Delights Empire at the tender age of fifteen when Grandfather Charlie died of a sudden heart attack. Within the next five years, she graduated high school, finished her undergraduate studies at Boston University, took over the entire family business and married Matthew Lee, a successful businessman. Adelyna, or Lyna became the product of American and Chinese-Japanese backgrounds. She received her primary education in Asia, travelling between Shanghai and Kyoto. She attended high school in Australia for three years to strengthen her English before completing her secondary schooling in New York. She plans to attend university at some stage in the near future.
